Ask all questions you have on Umbraco CMS and it’s related products and tech
No question is too “stupid” it is normally just a sign that we have to improve the documentation.
If you have a problem the chance is high that somebody else will have the same. By asking your question here you do not help yourself you also help all people that come after you.
When asking a question, it helps to be as descriptive as possible! So try to include:
- error messages (in text, try to avoid posting screenshots as they are not searchable)
- the version of Umbraco CMS you’re working with
- information on your Umbraco setup
- don’t

mention people, possibly only when it’s urgent (not if it’s only urgent for you)- we use gender inclusive language in this forum. A bot will help you: when you say the word “guys” it will give you a nudge in the right direction.
We’re very happy to also look at questions that are not directly Umbraco questions but relate to the tech we use, be it .NET or databases, or headless frontends for Umbraco, webservers for .NET apps, etc.
Umbraco HQ employees activity
You’ll see people from Umbraco HQ stopping by here on a voluntary basis to talk about things that pique their interest. Be nice to them, they’re not on support duty!
This forum exists to facilitate community members to help each other.
- if you have a support contract, or need help with our commercial offerings, use the support platform at: https://support.umbraco.io/.
- of you’re an Umbraco partner and need feedback from Umbraco HQ, make sure to talk to your partner manager.

mention people who work on commercial products directly- don’t hesistate to ask your product related questions here, maybe a fellow community member knows the answer sooner than you can get it from the support team
If you’re not clear about the usage of the Questions forms, make sure to ask for more info in Meta
