I am working on a project using Umbraco 8. I have successfully upgraded to the latest 13 release, however I have various issues and the site breaks down when upgrading from 13 to 14. Are there any automated tools that could help me migrate the project ? Are there any suggestions on how I could complete the migration ?
Congrats on getting from v8 to v13 that should be the trickest part of the upgrade! (hopefully)
There could be multiple reasons why you may be potentially running into issues as there are breaking cms and code changes from v13 to the next major/minor version.
Such reasons can include using obsolete data types that may require migration for instance going from nested content to blocklist and 3rd party packages that aren’t supported or need updating.
In theory though if your going to the next major you should be able to upgrade directly from 13 to 17.
