Unexpected Multiple Hangfire Servers on Live Environment

Hello,

I’m hosting the site on Umbraco Cloud. When inspecting the Hangfire Dashboard under Servers, I noticed that:

  • In Development, only one active server is listed (as expected).
  • In Live, there are two active servers displayed.

However, according to Umbraco Cloud support, we only have a single web app instance, not a load-balanced setup.

Do you have any idea why a second Hangfire server might be appearing? We’ve been experiencing issues with scheduled jobs — retries are shown as triggered in the dashboard, but nothing actually executes. In some cases, the scheduled jobs don’t trigger at all.

I suspect this may be related to the presence of the unexpected second server.

NOTE: We have recently upgraded from a Shared Hosting plan to a Dedicated Professional 1 plan.
