Forgive my ignorance - I’ve been in a hole - buried in a project and have lost touch with where everything is!
I know v13 goes into Security only support at the end of this year. This means I need to plan to upgrade a few big sites.
Last time I gave v15 a spin there were a few bits that our editors would have been very frustrated about - most importantly copy functionality in the block list.
Has this been fixed / added back / re-imaginged now? Are there any other gotchas from people that have taken the jump that I need to be aware about?
I don’t want this post to turn into a bash on the newer versions - just need to know the lay of the land!
I forwarded this post today to my collegues, what is high over the things missing in the new backoffice compared to 13: Blocklist label in V15 - #9 by jacob.
Personally, I’m currently porting over a number of packages from Umbraco 13 to 15 and my major pain point is the missing notifications (SendingXNotifications) in the backoffice. For most other things, I personally think Umbraco 15 is already quit good, especially with 15.2. When TipTap is on par with TinyMCE (should be done before Umbraco 16), that’s also very nice!
You probably need Jacob or someone else from the HQ Dev Team to give you the rough outstanding backlog of missing features, but obviously no guarantee they will swing by here.
But it seems clipboard is one we can all cross off our checklists
Perhaps the Umbraco Roadmap might fill in those blanks though
