I get a saving notification when I publish content, but for Umbraco Forms I just get a tick in the Save button which disappears quite quickly. I’m guessing this is deliberate but it would make sense it aligns with core notifications.
Feel free to raise this on the Umbraco Forms Issues Tracker:
I think in general with Umbraco they tuned down notifications popups because there were SO many. So notifications that can be infered by using the buttons don’t have the popup notification anymore, if nothing goes wrong. For instance, saving in Umbraco 17.6.2 also doesn’t produce a popup notification anymore, only publishing.
I didn’t check the Forms source code, but I assume it’s something similar.
Umbraco MVPs can ask for access to the source codes of the commercial packages and contribute. Ofcourse it requires signing an NDA But it does allow for checking issues against the source code easier.
I was just about to ask about this! I thought it was just me as I would have thought it would’ve been mentioned somewhere else.
I’ve also come across another issue/symptom which I thought was related. If you delete a field name in the design/layout view (i.e. not the ‘edit field/property editor’ pane) and press Save, the form saves successfully without validating that the field name is required. You can also change the Alias to be a space.
