Hi all,
I’m using Umbraco since version 7.0.1. One thing that has always been a mystery is the option to build a site search.
Originally I only was a Front-End developer so the site-search is very hard to comprehend for me.
I want to get the back-end developer to look in to setting up a decent site-search but I’m lacking the info what elements Umbraco uses for this.
Can somebody help me by telling me what we need and how those parts work together?
I know Examine is used for indexing but and I can get a simple site-search to work (only searching the name of the content nodes) but the problem begins when I want to search the Grid and want to display a google like summary.
I don’t need a turn key solution (although that would be great 
), but I need to know the tools we need to build a search solution our self.
