We have recently run into a problem where our umbraco site has randomly been getting the error “The service is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again”. We understand that this could very well be an external problem with our server however we want to know if anyone has had any similar problem while running an umbraco site as this is a new one for use. Is there any chance that this can be caused from something in umbraco?
I’m fairly certain Umbraco does not produce that kind of error message.
Without any further details than that you’re experience 503 error, helping you might be too difficult.
A guess would be that Umbraco has crashed, your page or a component on that page has an issue.
It could be a loadbalancer, proxy or other server that sits in front of Umbraco.
But without further details, we would only be shooting blind guesses at your problem.
