There are some really cool TipTap extensions that exist in the TipTapASphere, we thought it might be good to have an open source package that brought them all together as options into Umbraco? to make Tip Tap more Tip Top.
The one thing that most of our clients who’ve upgraded to v17 have flagged, is when they cut and paste from word into the TipTap editor it’s not quite the same experience as v13 and TinyMce, in terms of the stripping of inline styles and the cleaning up of markup generally…
… we then found this existing TipTap office extension: @intevation/tiptap-extension-office-paste
So as a POC we have added this to the package along with some further tweaks to get a much closer experience to TinyMCE in terms of the expected behaviour when you cut and paste MSO junk!
So as a community we could use this package as a way to centralise adding cool extensions into TipTap to keep improving the editor experience or we could just create eight different versions of this functionality in eight different packages with different names!
