Media - seems to take a few mins for the thumbnail to generate

Hi,

In V17 we seem to have an intermittent problem where when we upload an image, it seems totake a few mins for the thumbnail to generate.

Is there way to stop this.

Hi @darrenhunterEmerald

The thumbnail will get generated from the crop by ImageSharp, so the first hit needs to generate the thumbnail which then gets stored in a cache. Where are you hosting? Is this on Azure using BLOB storage?

I would expect a few seconds delay generating an image, not minutes?

I seen it a couple of times, it some times take a couple of Mins to generate, other time it almost instance. So not sure if it a server issue or it a 17 issue. There are only a few sites running off that server all Umbraco 13, and a few DEV 17 sites.

Could it be the server resources are getting low?
