MCP creating content without default template

I’m using the fabulous new Umbraco MCP server (with an Umbraco 15.4.4 running on cloud). What a stunning piece of work and wow is it easy to get started. Kudos to everyone involved :heart_eyes:

I’ve used it to create a range of content, but noticed that it’s ignoring the default template. So the content was published without a template resulting in a 404. I must admit that my Umbraco skills are rusty, so it took a while to figure out why the content worked in lists, but I got a Page Not Found page when I followed the urls.

Anyway - of course it was easy to fix with the MCP (prompt “ll the movies you created yesterday in Umbraco are missing their default template “Movie” - can you update them?“), but perhaps this is a bug?

Appreciate your kind words about the Umbraco MCP, so glad to hear that you are finding it useful.

Also, thanks for reporting the issue with the template not adding by default. I’ll add a bug to the issue tracker and take a look during the next sprint.
