Markdown editor experience

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else has found the markdown editor experience painful?

I’ve a markdown block within a Block List, and the content slides from the right but it just feels really restrictive. Am I just missing something? Is there a way to make this full width?

I feel this should be something I know but for the life of me, I just cant work it out And because this is on my own personal site, Ive just been living with it.

Ok and as soon as I post this, I dig around a bit more and looks like I’ve found a fix.

Enable inline editing on the Block List property editor. Also set the Appearance to have label above rather than to the left.

Then within the markdown block also put the label above.

This prevent the fly-out and puts the editor in to full width.
