Just wondeirng, who is using the "Search Engine Tools" package?

A few days ago I released a beta of my very first package so I could test that it deploys to nuget correctly and that I could progress with a rebuild of my webiste using my new package. I visited my GitHub repo for the package to look at some code in a feature development branch and notice the package has 45 downloads.

This supprises me as it is only a few days old, not on the Umbraco marketplace, is a pre-release so you have to opt-in to those, and I never announced it on the discord or forums.

So just kind of wondering, did anyone here download it and install it? If you did, thoughts on it so far? I know there are a lot of missing parts but if you where brave enough to use it I would love to know what you thought about it.

Hi @Eaglef90

I would take those download numbers with a pinch of salt, they will include anything that has downloaded the package not just those that have installed it. So, any bot or crawler or indeed the Umbraco Marketplace itself would have downloaded the package.

I don’t think there’s anything that will tell you how many installed as this is not shown on the Marketplace and Umbraco don’t publish the telemetry data that Umbraco captures.

Ok, I thought there might be a handfull of fools out there just grabing random beta packages off nuget instead of going to more estalished packages from the marketplace. lol
