Issue with Slider Property Editor UI mandatory when initially not set

There seems to be an issue with the Slider Property Editor UI type in the CMS.
I’ve created a slider type for managing paddings and margins on a block grid module.

When a module is initially added, the default value is 0.
If the user then saves and publishes, it flags with a red ! and you have to go in a set it a value, save and publish then set back to 0 / re-adjust them.

I’ve checked the editor type and its not set to mandatory so its like the initial value isn’t being set on load?

Am I going mad or are other people having this issue?

Hi Sam, this is a known issue that is fixed in latest version. So update and the issue should be gone.

I’d done the update before this post but just for sanity I’ve checked the page data again and it seems to still be an issue:

I’ve used a simpler layout where the values are not set for just the sliders.

Side bug, when the error flag is flagged, I also have to refresh the page to edit the data again as the “update” button locks.

Currently got the 15.3.1 update installed:

@nielslyngsoe Has this been resolved? We’re still experiencing it in version 15.3.1. (Umbraco build version: 15.3.1+06a2a50)

I don’t know if it is fixed, but why not update to Umbraco 15.4.3 first and check if it’s been solved in the mean time?

It’s still an issue on 15.4.3.

Sorry I did not specify the version. I think that would be 16.0.
Otherwise please create an issue on the tracker
