How are Cart Conversion Rates calculated

Hi

Our client says they monitor the Cart Conversion Rates in the analytics section of umbraco commerce, however they have raised a question about it.

At the beginning of August 2025, they selected all of July 2025, the value for Purchased was 6792. In October they again selected all of July but this time got a different value, 8242.

So, they’re confused and would like to know how these values are calculated.

I ran a sql query using July 2025 for createDate and finalizedDate, deletedTimestamp=0 and got a different number again (6671).

@mattbrailsford I realise this may not be your area any longer however, you might know, or know someone that does know - how is the value of the cart conversions calculated.

This sounds like it could be a bug as if the amount ever did change it should only ever be downwards due to any orders that have been refunded.

You might be better off raising this as a bug so that a member of the Commerce team will take a look.
