H5YR

Okay - long time, no see.

Been away for ~five years - ye, twenty years got me a bit burned out and tired of tech - but WOW:

I’ve been hacking, playing and enjoying Umbraco 15 the last couple of weeks, as I’m using it for a local community project, and what a joy it is.

From documentation, to the details of the back office, to even the stability of Cloud  - what a magnificent job from anyone involved.

#h5yr and much love,

/Niels

BTW: Every now and then remember to imagine using Umbraco for the first time. A couple of touches would make it even more fun and welcoming to get started. Sorry, it can’t be all brown-nosing, right :innocent::folded_hands::face_blowing_a_kiss:

Oh hello stranger :waving_hand: hope your well.

This feels slightly deja-vu like, chatting on forums/mailing list from way back when, however its good to hear your back tinkering, hacking and building for fun again. I can only imagine things have changed massively since you decided to step back and like you say the company, products, docs have all matured lovely.

Question

Putting on my community package/extensions team hat on and I am curious if you are extending the backoffice and what your thoughts are to that.

How easy is it to do what you need and could dotnet new template or other tooling be improved with someone who is looking at the project again with fresh eyes.
