We recently upgraded our Umbraco version from 13 to 17 and we noticed all of our child items now got sorted from earliest created to last created which is a pain, given that we have 300 child items, so scrolling to the newest one takes time.
So, for Document Type “Insights” we enabled Collection, sorted by Last updated and to show it in a List view.
The problem happens when we Save the settings and go back to our Insights content. While the API request get successfully resolved (we get 200 OK and in the response we have all the child items), UI is just not rendering that response:
A brief look at it seems to suggest you need to reselect the “Layout” of the collection. It doesn’t look quite right when it simply says “List”. So try removing the existing layout (in the “Layouts” config) and reapply one of the defaults.

This problem is similar to other migration issues we have seen for collections. If you have other collections, even default ones, it is best to check them and reapply the layouts there, too.
