When editing a field, and changing the label, the alias changes as well. Im not sure whether this is a “feature” or a bug. But since we have a lot of integrations that are depending on the alias, our integrations will break if we change the label name.
If I don’t edit the field, and just change the label, then nothing happens. But since a field could have more options, e.g. multiple choice, we might want to change options and label at the same time. But then the alias changes.
This is a big problem if the editors aren’t aware of this.
I just tested Forms on Umbraco 13, and can confirm that this issue doesn’t occur, so I would say that this is definitely a regression issue with the new backoffice version of Forms.
