We host all our sites in Azure web apps and we have reoccuring issues with indexes. For some reason, indexes sometimes get corrupted and you get an error like ’ could not load file /temp/examineindexes/_1.cf’.
Usually, deleting the temp/Examineindexes/ folder and restarting solves this issue. We configured Umbraco according to the best practices for Azure: Running Umbraco On Azure Web Apps | Umbraco CMS, so that is not the issue.
My question to you is: do you or should you delete the temp folder when publishing a new version to Azure? I feel like this could solve a lot of indexing problems.
