Corrupted culture data - How to remove?

I have been programmatically importing data from another system in to Umbraco. However, there has been some changes as to when items should be variant or not. I think there are now records contained in the database of cultural data that should not exist… and is not viewable in the backoffice. I need a way to remove them, as I think it may be causing errors whilst indexing data. The api does not seem to have a remove culture method and for obvious reasons I don’t really want to use sql direct.

Any ideas?

I think we need a little more info on what you are doing. You are doing custom things, so I don’t know what you did and I don’t understand yet what you want to change here.
