Changing the MemberType of an existing Member

Hello guys,

I need to change members of Member Type “Member” to another Member type. I have the default “Member” and need to change to “Customer”

I do not remember anything in the API that does this. Is there any way?

Is it possible through the API ?? or only by SQL?
