I’m happy to share that ByteEditor Website Builder 17 package is here! A full migration to Umbraco 17 and .NET 10 — rebuilt from the ground up for the new Umbraco backoffice. This release focuses on what matters most for a major platform jump: stability and a solid foundation for what’s next.
Here’s what’s new in ByteEditor 17 Release:
Full Umbraco 17 & .NET 10 support. Rebuilt every editor extension and block preview for the new Lit-based backoffice.
Design Builder is now token-based. One structured system for colors, typography & buttons — change a token, and every block across your site updates instantly.
Live SEO Page Structure & Content Stats Tabs. Separate tabs to see your full heading outline and keyword density update in real time, right inside the Page Builder — no save required.
Per-block Theme Variants in an individual card, banner, or layout block.
Automatic upgrade script included. Migrating from an older version? The package migrates your existing content and design data to v17 for you.
The live visual theme canvas and block animations aren’t in this release yet — we prioritized shipping a stable, fully-migrated v17 first. Both are on our roadmap, alongside AI-assisted site building we’re already prototyping.
