Couldn’t find any examples of anyone using Stripe’s apple pay system with Umbraco Commerce. We’ve had someone ask about it. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this and if it’s possible at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ![]()

I wasn’t sure myself, but AI seems to think this is just a setting you switch on in Stripe as Umbraco Commerce uses the hosted payment page.
Here is the AI response:
Yes, this works and there’s nothing Umbraco Commerce specific to do. The Commerce Stripe provider redirects the customer to Stripe’s hosted Checkout page, and Apple Pay is handled entirely on that page.
I’ve had a look at the provider source. It creates a Checkout Session with payment_method_types set to card by default. Apple Pay isn’t a separate payment method type in Stripe, it’s a wallet that sits on top of card, so the default setting is all you need. You don’t have to touch the advanced “Payment Method Types” field unless you want to add things like Link or Klarna later.
To enable it:
/.well-known/.The Apple Pay button then appears on the Checkout page automatically when the customer is in Safari on a Mac or iOS device with a card in Wallet. It won’t show on Chrome or Windows, which catches people out when testing.
